“ My nomination is for a business called Northern Lights Drum Circles. The owner is Colleen Garland. Colleen facilitates drum circles for our local community. She supplies drums of all sizes, shakers and noise makers. A drum circle is not so much “entertainment” as it is creating a community of rythm. It is for all ages to participate. Colleen believes whole heartedly in the physical, spiritual, and emotional benefits of being a part of a drum circle. She has donated her time and equiptment to many local seniors homes, schools, and charity’s. Even though she is a business she believes in giving back to our community. Medicine Hat needs and deserves more people like Colleen. Someone who cares and believes that with a little team work, fine tuning and whole lot of fun our community can has the potential of being, and feeling, the best it ever has.”
